Wednesday March 27, 2013 Day 4 Marker Wadden Charrette
Today groups focused on finishing their master plans and developing a storyboard for their presentation layout. It was also moving day, as we worked in the morning in Lelystad, then traveled by train back to Utrecht.
Landscape architect Livina Tummers, who works with the national Landlijkedienst, came by after her regular work day to critique the projects. Her questions and comments assisted the students in clarifying their design thinking, and gave them experience in communicating their ideas to a “new” audience.
Last year Livina presented some projects to the class and attended the first Marker Wadden charrette presentation. We hope she can make it again this year.
This was also the day of the first public informational presentation on the Marker Wadden. Lelystad residents who live on the Marker Wadden were specifically invited, along with all Lelystad residents and the general public. Hosted in the Lelystad City Hall and including various presentations and speakers, the event was well-attended and good discussion transpired.
